Andy is delighted to be joining JazzSmart again for another fantastic Manchester Saxophone Weekend on the 15th and 16th February 2020, in association with The Manchester College Jazz Department! The two day saxophone workshop is hosted by JazzSmart, led by Andy Scott and assisted by JazzSmart's directors James Rawlinson & Andrew Blee. It is aimed equally at classical and jazz saxophonists and Andy will build upon ideas from the previous three years at The Manchester College, striking a balance between using written material, using our ears, and embracing a musically open-minded philosophy. Throughout the weekend, saxophonists will rehearse together as one large group and in smaller groups, being joined by a rhythm section on the Sunday afternoon. Different, optional workshops are also available with either Andy, James or Andrew on the Saturday too. “A great way to start the year, maybe treat this course as a saxophonic MOT, setting you up musically for 2020!” - Andy Scott For the details of what's set to be a brilliant weekend, click here for more info & to book your place!
