Lions Youth Brass Band premiere the new piece written by Andy Scott, for their performance at the European Youth Brass Bands Championships on 28th April in Montreux.
Lions Youth Band commissioned Blue Phantom specifically for the competition; further details and competition updates can be found on their website. Andy Scott will guest with the Stan Scott Trio in The Red Lion's jazz night on 18th April. Timings and running schedule to be confirmed ASAP.

Composed and arranged by Andy, 'Paquito' for flute & guitar will be performed by flautist Nicola Loten and guitarist Arturo Castro Nogueras as part of their 'Latin Flavours: Between Two Worlds' concert at Reading Fringe Festival. Sunday 8th July 2018, 21:00 at The Railway Inn, Stockport Andy's massed brass band piece, 'Brass Revolution!' will have its world premiere at the Music for Youth National Festival on the 4th July 2018 at Birmingham Town Hall.
The premiere will be performed collaboratively with young musicians in association with the Love Music Trust and their partner ensembles. 'Brass Revolution!' was commissioned by the Love Music Trust. For more info, click here On July 1st 2018, Andy will be directing a Saxophone Day with saxophonist Jamie Sharp, in conjunction with the Love Music Trust at Sandbach School.
The course will involve ensemble sessions and workshops and is ideal for saxophonists from Grade 3 standard upwards - all types of saxophone are welcome.
