Improvisation Course by Music Retreats

'Improvisation is presumed by many musicians to be mysterious and just too difficult, leaving you wondering how, and where, to make a start. Yet Jazz and improvising can be very simple - and that’s where we are going to start on this course.'

Join experienced musicians and tutors, Jon Rebbeck & Andy Scott, as they lead a five-day music retreat in the beautiful countryside of Southwestern France from 3rd - 9th September 2023. 

This improvisation course is open to all instruments and voice, and will explore a range of approaches to improvisation in classical music and across the jazz spectrum. Whether you're a first time or intermediate improviser, take your improvising to the next level with 5 days of intensive creativity under the guidance of two tutors, ensuring a personalised musical experience to maximise your potential and enjoyment.
