Saxophonist/composer Andy Scott undertook a series of specially-designed Saxophone Days from March to July 2016, in England, Wales & France! Hosted by Music Hubs (Love Music Trust, Hertfordshire, Hull Music Services, East Riding & Accent), York & Shrewsbury Schools, Creative Vacances, Hot House Music, MusicFest Aberystwyth & JazzSmart, Andy devised a programme that had appeal for saxophonists of all ages and levels of experience, writing & arranging music specifically for the occasion. As an internationally-respected musician with over 30 years professional experience, Tutor of Saxophone at the Royal Northern College of Music, a founder member of the Apollo Saxophone Quartet and a British Composer Award Winner, Andy was delighted to receive support from three companies that he has endorsed for many years; Selmer Paris Saxophones, Vandoren & Astute Music. The First prize of a new Selmer Seles Alto Saxophone was generously donated by Selmer Paris! Additional prizes included mouthpieces and reed cases, generously donated by Selmer Paris and Vandoren as well a Libero and sheet music from Astute Music. The lucky winner of the Saxophone was 11-year old Jake Dodd, who is studying for ABRSM Grade 3 and currently doesn’t own his own saxophone. “Andy Scott’s 2016 Lucky Draw tour was for SELMER Paris an excellent way to reach an important number of devoted saxophone players all over the country and to introduce to them their newest Seles AXOS alto saxophone. Congratulations to Jake Dodd, the deserving lucky winner of the Seles AXOS alto saxophone and many thanks to all other participating saxophonists!” Erik Claeys - Selmer Paris, Sales & Promotion Manager, UK. Following the success of this creative project, 2018 will see the second Andy Scott ‘Lucky Draw Saxophone Tour’, with dates being released in Autumn 2017. www.andyscott.org.uk
