Composed between 1996 and 1998 Nemesis is a three movement work and is written in a contemporary classical style with jazz and latin influences. There is a short improvised section in part two, with an alternative notated ‘solo’. Nemesis was originally composed for soprano saxophone and vibraphone and recorded by Rob Buckland and Simone Rebello on the CD "Towards the Light".
Andy Scott completed a version of Nemesis for flute and vibraphone in 2003.
For the guitar & soprano sax version , the original vibraphone part was arranged for guitar by Craig Ogden. Recorded on the CD ‘PluckBlow’ by Gerard McChrystal & Craig Ogden.
