Golden Horn

Golden Horn was originally written for Brass Band. The Golden Horn was commissioned by Allan Withington & Stavanger Brass Band (Norway), and given a world premiere at Siddis in November 2013 by Allan & Stavanger Band.
The Golden Horn has a high-energy Turkish dance-like feel to it, named after an inlet of the Bosphorus, dividing the city of Istanbul and forming the natural harbour that has sheltered Greek, Roman, Byzantine, Ottoman and other ships for thousands of years.
Recorded by Foden's Brass Band on the CD Patrons' Choice VIII (Doyen CD345) in 2015.
