Les Neish CD 'Salt of the Earth' wins awards!
Star tuba player with Fodens Band, Les Neish, released his debut Solo CD, entitled 'Salt of the Earth' on Saturday 17th October 2009 at the National Brass Band Championship Finals at the Royal Albert Hall, London. Recorded with World of Brass, the title track of the CD, composed by Andy, received rave reviews after its World Premiere at the Royal Northern College of Music Festival of Brass in Janaury 2008. Also featured on the CD is the first tuba recording of Andy's popular composition 'My Mountain Top'.

We were pleased to read in British Bandsman and Brass Band World that 'Salt of the Earth' has been named Solo CD of the Year 2009.
