Highlights 2010
January 2010 saw the premiere of Andy's composition for saxophone & piano "Three Letter Word" at the South Bank in London.
Double Trouble CD by Foden's Band with James Gourlay, Les Neish and Tubalate was released at the RNCM Festival of Brass. This CD features music for Tuba by Andy Scott and Barbara Thompson. Andy's tuba pieces, "Salt of the Earth", "Bite the Bullet", and "Going Down" are superbly played on this CD by these accomplished tuba players.
February 2010 saw the release of Naked Footprints CD and a 10 date UK tour featuring Andy on saxophones with percussionists Dave Hassell and Everisto Aguilar.
March 2010 saw the premier in Edinburgh of Andy's concerto, "Dark Rain" for two solo saxophones and orchestra. The original version for two solo saxophones and wind band won a British Composers award in 2006.
'Battle of Barrossa' Andy's composition for Foden's Brass Band in his role as Composer in Residence was broadcast on Radio 3.
Brass in Concert DVD released by World of Brass. 2009 winners, Foden's Band performed the world premier of Andy's piece Space Invaders
May 2010 Andy was busy clocking up the airmiles!
First he hosted a new saxophone course in a wonderful part of France. Andy will taking another course there next year and details will be published here in due course... Then it was off to Singapore, Jarkata and Manilla when Andy was invited by Desford Brass Band to join them on their Asia tour. Andy wrote a short piece for Desford Band , "Brass Explosion" which was premiered in Singapore and he also gave some composition and saxophone workshops in schools and universities in Singapore and Jarkata.

has built under the direction of Artistic Directors, Rob Buckland and Andy Scott. Guests for 2010 were Carlama Orckestar and Johann van der Linden (both from Holland), SaxAssault and Fiona Asbury. Over 250 saxophonists participated in an action packed twelve hours.
