Erik-Jan de With

Erik-Jan de With studied at the Royal Conservatoire, The Hague, with Leo van Oostrom.

He participated at several masterclasses, given by C. Delangle, D. Gauthier, M. Weiss, J-E. Kelly, D. Liebman and cellist M. Van Staalen.

Erik-Jan works as a freelancer at several orchestras, such as Holland Sinfonia, Residentie Orchestra, Gelders orchestra and ASKO/Schönberg ensemble.

He plays soprano saxophone in the Python saxophone quartet, they won the international Vandoren Contest. Louis Andriessen wrote for this ensemble. Also Erik-Jan is part of the duo Switch (saxophone and percussion) ,this ensemble achieved to play in the semi finals of the vriendenkrans contest at the Concertgebouw. Besides all that Erik-Jan plays in Ensemble Klang, a contemporary music ensemble, which only performs music written for them.
