Andys commitment to education extends to being approached to compose new works for big band, classroom group, wind orchestra, small ensembles and solo pieces.

These commissions are published by Astute Music and the Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music.

  • Contributions to the Apollo Saxophone Quartet Series of educational pieces for saxophone solos, duets, saxophone & piano, quartets. Published by Astute Music.

  • Zebra Crossing for Tenor Saxophone & Piano (Associated Board Grade 6 piece) Published by Astute Music.

  • Café Europa for Alto Saxophone & piano by Rob Buckland & Andy Scott (Associated Board Grade 3&6 pieces) Published by Astute Music.

  • Contributions to the Music Medals Series for saxophone ensemble. Published by the ABRSM.

  • Changing Times for solo saxophone & piano by Rob Buckland & Andy Scott Published by Astute Music.

  • Sounds Like Another Day (10') Commissioned & funded by Halton Borough Council, Widnes Rotary & Wade Deacon High School. Premiered at Wade Deacon High School & subsequently performed by Widnes School Group at the Millennium Dome, London (15.9.00).

  • Limousine Lights (16') Commissioned by Keith Robinson & Wade Deacon High School, Widnes. Funded by the National Lottery of England. Premiered at the 1998 WASBWE Conference, Manchester.

  • At the End of the Day (4') Commissioned, funded, & premiered by Grange School Big Band, Hartford. Published by Harlequin Music

  • Our Town (11') Commissioned by Wigan Youth Jazz Orchestra. Funded by Wigan Metropolitan Borough Council. Premiered at the Millennium Dome, London. (27.09.02).

  • Dig Deep (4') Commissioned & funded by Kings School, Leys. Premiered by Kings School Big Band. Published by Harlequin Music.

  • Uumm...! (9') Commissioned by Wigan Youth Jazz Orchestra. Funded by Wigan Metropolitan Borough Council. Premiered at the North of England Education Conference (6.1.00).
Romilly Whiteley with Andy Scott  Romilly Whiteley with Andy Scott after she gave the world premiere of Zebra Crossing, composed by Andy for her for tenor saxophone and piano.

She took to the stage and played the piece with Tim Carey during Andy's concert at the International Saxophone Summer School at Woldingham 2003.

Zebra Crossing is now an ABRSM Grade 6 piece and is published by Astute Music.
